- This tutorial was pretty simple to follow. It ensured that you would get the desired effect on any image you choose and also some variants depending on the number of pixels in the image. It also taught you some complimentary effects to go with it such as a speech bubble, or if youre using a human subject how to make the eyes have a comic book effect. Overall, it was a pretty helpful tutorial.

-This tutorial was probably the simplest thing I've ever watched ever. It just tells you to saturate, sharpen, save, repeat. I wish it got more in depth with how to achieve different effects with the deep fry or possibly branched out to more complimentary effects you may want. It achieved the task at hand but it did not go above and beyond like the comic book tutorial.

My original suspicions were proven true, as the image was completely raw and not photoshopped. The image, as we know it now, is a close up shot of a little girl's face. She has a blank look on her face, signifying no discernible emotion and giving a atmosphere of innocence to her. I feel that there is no real hidden meaning behind the photo by itself, as knowing Helnwein's work, he tends to do a lot of work with people and faces. What's extremely interesting is that the image is of a massive scale but is in a location which is essentially hidden away in an industrial back alley. I think that this makes the name, "The Last Girl" very appropriate, because you would expect the last of something to be hard to find or hidden. I feel this really adds to the presentation of the piece, as it would not feel as special if it weren't shown in this way.
