tutorial critiques

comic book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vFdXq-So8g - This tutorial was pretty simple to follow. It ensured that you would get the desired effect on any image you choose and also some variants depending on the number of pixels in the image. It also taught you some complimentary effects to go with it such as a speech bubble, or if youre using a human subject how to make the eyes have a comic book effect. Overall, it was a pretty helpful tutorial. deep fried: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-za-RQBpVA -This tutorial was probably the simplest thing I've ever watched ever. It just tells you to saturate, sharpen, save, repeat. I wish it got more in depth with how to achieve different effects with the deep fry or possibly branched out to more complimentary effects you may want. It achieved the task at hand but it did not go above and beyond like the comic book tutorial.

Sem 1 Reflection

 I. Looking back on semester 1, I feel that I was pretty consistent with my work and overall improved as a photographer. My quality of work was something I took pride in. I feel I produced good projects and put forth a decent amount of effort into most of my projects. I took some risks with subject matter, but i feel like it all went well. I did a good job participating in this class, as I was consistently present for class and would do all of my work as I needed to and in a timely manner. I feel I have made some good compositional improvements as a photographer, as I now know what exactly I am looking for with a photo rather than just getting what "looks good".  Conceptually,  my work has improved as well as I have tackled deeper subject matters. Coming into second semester, I want to continue to tackle tougher subjects, but do so in a more conceptual light. I want my final images to speak more to a specific style as well.   II.
